I am very excited to announce the return of Highlands Bells this coming Sunday, September 27. They have been rehearsing now for several Sundays, and they are ready to play for us once again. This is one more “little step” of a return to normalcy to have them as part of our Sunday line-up. Thank you Lori for you direction, and for all those who will ring bells this Sunday.

We continue in the midst of this pandemic, asking “when will this end?” but until then we are doing our best to stay connected; to continue to offer in-person worship for those who feel safe attending, and we keep adding a few more week by week; and we continue to offer the gift of worship on FACEBOOK LIVE at the 11:00 a.m. hour—join us as we stream live or receive the link to worship after worship that we send you via email.

We are quickly approaching what is left of this year, and we will be more than ready to wish it “good-bye” but before that we have Halloween just ahead, and then Thanksgiving, and Advent/Christmas…not really knowing how each of these will look just yet…but as we draw nearer to each of these, we will do our best to help us celebrate as best we are able.

My guess is they will look different in some ways…maybe Christmas Eve worship will have to be adapted in some ways given our context…maybe some of the traditions of the past will have to be altered, but given these current restrictions that affect all our lives, we will celebrate!

So as we come to the end of September, with a hint of autumn in the air, let’s be ready, come what may, to be church…to live our lives with faithfulness, and trust in God’s presence with us as we walk this journey together.
