In just a handful of weeks Highlands Christian Church will be our

new home and our new Christian family. Valerie and I are

excited! Christian (our son), well he’s just a baby, but I’m sure

he’s excited in his own way. I know the Search Committee and

the Board shared some things with you, but I want to say that

Valerie and I believe strongly that God hand has directly guided

us to you, and you to us. The beauty of long, faithful discernment

(which I know has been a commitment at Highlands this past

year) is that when we receive our answer from God, we can

accept it with confidence and with eagerness.

I can’t wait to meet you all, and begin new relationships founded

on our hope in Christ. I can’t wait for the ways we will see God

work wonders in our congregation and in our surrounding

community. I can’t wait to work with you as we minister to people

of all ages. I can’t wait to see what God has in store for

Highlands Christian Church. But…I guess I’ll have to wait, ha-ha.

I look forward to meeting you on Sunday, January 22nd. Please

lift up my family in your prayers; we will do the same for you. With

God’s blessing and with the hope of Advent in our hearts, have a
